Culinary School: Choosing Home Or Abroad

Posted in Health Tips on January 31st, 2012 by admin

There is a major choice when it comes to culinary school – home or abroad. If you know what kind of food you want to specialize in, it might be worthwhile to study in the country where that type of food originated. For example, a sushi chef will acquire a special set of skills if he or she has studied in Japan. However, there are numerous skilled sushi chefs that have studied in the United States, and they probably didnt spend as much money to get through their education. So, home or abroad, which choice is right for you?

Culinary School in the United States

There are many top-notch culinary schools in the United States that you’ll be able to choose from, and you would not be sacrificing any of the prestige of your education by choosing a U.S. school. For example, the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) is known as one of the best culinary schools in the world, and with campuses in California and New York, you can choose which coast you want to live and study on. Other prestigious culinary schools in the States include the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and the Cooking and Hospitality Institute in Chicago. The Le Cordon Bleu Colleges and Art Institutes have campuses offering culinary education throughout the United States as nicely.

Your choices are practically unlimited, so if you cant afford to travel overseas to attend culinary school, you dont have to feel like youre sacrificing anything. In fact, you may be able to do much more networking towards your future career if you choose to remain stateside during your education.

Culinary Schools Abroad

There is no denying the prestige of studying abroad, especially for culinary students. For example, being able to study at Le Cordon Blue in Paris, France, is an amazing experience for any chef that has a passion for French cuisine. Studying in Tuscany would be the ultimate experience for a passionate Italian chef, and the culinary academies in Switzerland have much to offer the pastry chefs of tomorrow. If it is possible to afford the cost and have a specific passion for the culinary styles of a certain region, it may be worthwhile to study there. It all comes down to what your priorities are.

There are many advantages to both options, and there are many schools to choose from both here in the United States and in culinary hot spots for example Italy, France and Spain. Home or abroad? The choice is up to you!

Scientists opinion on the Universe was created by an infinite loop of universes creating universes?

Posted in Physics Articles on January 30th, 2012 by admin

- Chosen by Voters I answered your question already. A hypothesis is a framework. There are many many many many many many MANY competing frameworks. None of them are scientific fact ('theory") yet as none of them have all the pieces. String theory, meta-instability, M-theory, superstring, higher spatial dimensions…We siimply do not have the information necessary. Yet.I am giong to send you another link. This is to EXACTLY the information you want. And unless you understand it you can go no further in your understanding of these events and why they may or may not be supported. And thats just how it is. If a 1.7 kg object is pulled with 10 Newtons of force at a constant speed,?

since object is pulled at a constant speed, ie acc = 0force 10N was used to overcome frictionfriction force = 10Ncoefficient of friction = 10 / 1.7 * g= 0.5996answerif acc = 5 m/s2 force 1= m * a= 1.7 * 5= 8.5 Nforce 2 to overcome friction= 1.7 * 9.81 * 8 * 0.5996= 80Ntotal force= 8.5 + 80= 88.5Nanswer Source(s): my brain (Prof TBT) 1 month ago thanksss

Why is electric current a good measure of the conductivity of a material?

Posted in Physics Articles on January 30th, 2012 by admin

Because if you apply the same voltage to identically (same shape and size) pieces of different materials, the conductivity of each material is proportional to the current through it. Edited 3 hours ago Tyty

Physics Help. Forces?

Posted in Physics Articles on January 30th, 2012 by admin

- Chosen by Voters Hello,Sorry, but this one can't be solved without a diagram. Or at least a really good description of where the forces are acting on the box, there is no way to tell the vertical forces from the horizontal forces, or whatever. If you have access to a scanner you can upload a scan of a diagram to one of the free photo sites like photobucket or yahoo's flicker service. Then copy and paste the address for the diagram into your question. You will get better answers.Good Luck 3 weeks ago 100% 3 Votes
